Astra-Zeneca cutting hundreds of jobs in Wilmington

    More cuts are coming to Astra-Zeneca’s North American headquarters in Wilmington.

    Last year’s 500 job cuts will be followed up with 400 at the Delaware facility that employees more than 3,000 people. WHYY’s Mark Eichmann reports last year’s cuts aimed to eliminated 3,500 people globally at the pharmaceutical company.

    Senator Tom Carper says he’ll do everything in his power to help those laid off find jobs in their fields.
