Arrested made for stolen City Hall stenographer machines

    A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of two stenographer machines stolen from City Hall.

    Police have charged a homeless person after they discovered him using one of the machine cases to hold clothes. The machines were left in a social worker’s office.

    The man, a frequent in Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell’s office, where he receives constituent services, was found in Love Park and identified using the surveillance video system in City Hall, Heard in the Hall reports.

    He’s charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
