Archdiocesan commission to discuss future of Philly-area Catholic schools

Friday is looming over Philadelphia Catholics’ heads like a sin in a confessional.

It’s the day the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Blue Ribbon Commission is expected to announce a plan for the future of Catholic education in the diocese. And the future could include cuts.

The commission, appointed in December 2010, analyzed programs across the diocese to determine what’s working and what’s not. Now it’s time to hear the results.
