Apologies

Parkinggate‘ has come to a quick, dull end. Mark McDonald, a spokesman for Mayor Michael Nutter, has apologized for what he calls the miscommunications that led to some pretty irate Fairmount residents Friday night.

When Honorary Consul General of St. Kitts and Nevis, Worrell Nero, wanted to have a little holiday celebration Friday, his neighbors were told by police to move their cars. Nero’s guests, including the country’s ambassador, were given the spots instead, complete with police department parking placards.

McDonald told CBS3 he doesn’t know how the guests secured the placards, but apologized to those who were impacted.
