Another Phila. student beaten by a mob
In what is becoming a growing and alarming trend of attacks by young people against other young people on or near school grounds, a student at Simon Gratz High was attacked and viciously beaten inside the school itself.
In a report from 6abc.com, Keenan Williams, 18, said he did not know the group who attacked him Friday morning and was sure that not all of them attended the school. He was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital after his attack. He suffered a concussion and will need surgery to repair a shattered eye socket.
School officials say that the attack was the result of a “neighborhood problem that spilled over into the school. Keenan Williams’ family said they want to know how people who did not attend the school were able to gain access to the security-controlled building.
