Anonymous donor helps sends hit-and-run victim’s body home to Bulgaria

An anonymous $2,000 donation helped send home the body of the Bulgarian dancer killed last weekend in a hit-and-run in Philadelphia.

Valeria Gospodinov of Broomall’s Euro Market began taking donations last week to help send the dancer’s body home.

Polina Kadiyska, studying at the Rock School for Dance Education, was killed on South Broad Street by a drunk teenager driver.

The family needed $7,200 to bring Kadiyska’s body back to Bulgaria, but Gospodinov ended up raising $11,375. The young dancer’s body will be flown home later this week.
