Annual Mt. Airy town watch FunFest offers chance to ‘get to know one another’ [gallery]

Mt. Airy-Nippon-Bryan-Cresheim Town Watch hosted the third Annual Winter FunFest on Sunday at 7165 Lounge in Mt. Airy. The neighborhood event featured local musicians, artists, a magic show and arts and crafts.

Steve Stroiman, coordinator and the organizer of the event thinks it’s crucial to bring people together for these types of occasions.

“When people think of town watch they think of patrolling organization and that is how we started, but that gets old after a while and people don’t want to do it,” he said. “What works really best as a town watch is for people to interact and get to know one another, then you know who is part of the neighborhood and who is not and that’s what makes us thrive.”
