Ambler firm to handle consulting for SEPTA’s smart fare system

    Though it’ll be several years before SEPTA fully implements its smart card system, the board reviewed yesterday a consulting contract with Ambler’s LTK Engineering Services.

    As part of the $9.2 million contract, LTK would help test SEPTA’s new fare system in various ways, as NewsWorks partner PlanPhilly reports. Some things are still holding up the beginning of implementation, like a report from the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia that will focus on how stakeholders want the new system to operate.
