Alleged Norristown ambulance thief arrested after 6-hour standoff

Carlos Bouie and the Norristown Police had a long day.

Bouie, the man believed to have stolen an ambulance yesterday, began a six-hour standoff with police before 7 this morning. And according to Patch, he remained on his neighbor’s roof until noon.

When police arrived, Bouie ran out onto his roof and then over to his neighbor’s. He eventually made his way down to the blocked-off street after authorities allowed his sister to take him food and speak with him.

The ambulance went missing Wednesday and was recovered 30 minutes later.
