Various published reports yesterday that the fire was deemed “suspicious” are false, officials say.
The investigation is ongoing.
Seaside Heights Mayor Bill Akers and Seaside Park Mayor Robert Matthies have vowed to rebuild.
Akers tells WCBS 880 that not rebuilding would be “far worse,” and Matthies has pledged to help business owners.
