8,000 golf balls stolen from two country clubs
Four people have been arrested for stealing thousands golf balls out of the ponds at Aronimink Country Club in Newtown Square and White Manor Country Club in Willistown.
The group was stopped outside the club Wednesday morning. Malvern Patch describes best the scene a township police officer found when he detained the vehicle: Inside were three men, one woman and 8,000 golf balls.
All the suspects arrested are from Michigan, and one told the judge he owns a ball-retrieval business and thought he could take balls from the two clubs’ ponds.
