    That brings the total number to 1,738 since the statewide campaign kicked off July 6.

    Speeding is listed as a factor in 22% of the state’s fatal crashes.

    Another crackdown is coming this fall.

    Through the month of October, Delaware State Police, New Castle County Police, and Dover Police will dedicate special patrols to look for speeders and drivers showing other dangerous behavior such as running red lights.
