52 needy families will get Thanksgiving dinner, thanks to DHS
Dozens of needy families in Philadelphia will be able to have a Thanksgiving dinner after receiving the supplies Saturday.
CBS Philly reports the 52 families are involved with the Department of Human Services and received the resources to put together their dinners thanks to the support of District Council 33-Local 1637, Brown’s Family Shop Rite and DHS.
CBS Philly says the baskets given to the families include turkey, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes and other items traditionally served during Thanksgiving.
