October 14, 2011

1600 block W. Erie Ave. – Complainant said a customer punched her twice in the face before fleeing the scene. Complainant said she was in the process of giving the offender a refund after he complained about the quality of the food he purchased at the grocery store. Complainant went to the hospital where she received stitches.

N. 17th St. and W. Indiana Ave – 1998 Mercury Marquis stolen.

October 15, 2011

1900 block W. Allegheny Ave. – Complainant said a man robbed the store at gunpoint. Offender ran off with $153.

3400 block N. 19th St. – Copper pipes were stolen from the property between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. Complainant said her cousin was the only one who had access the vacant rental property.

3000 block N. 15th St. – Complainant said a man stole $1,500 from his home.

3100 block N. 16th St. – 32-inch Sylvania TV and a converter box were stolen between 9 a.m. and 3:10 p.m.

October 16, 2011

5200 block Wayne Ave. – Three cell phones were stolen from the property.

3000 W. School House Lane – Complainant said someone stole the letters from a sign at the entrance of the school. Complainant said the wall that the letters were on was also damaged.

200 block W. Penn St. – PS3 game system, Playstation controller, 14 games and $40 were stolen.

500 block Midvale Ave. – 26-inch Vizio flatscreen TV stolen.

5900 block Lincoln Drive – Purse, three credit cards, two gift cards, jeans and a coat were stolen from a 2001 Kia Soul between 1 and 3 p.m.

2800 block Midvale Ave. – Gold chains, rings, watches, opal pins, jewelry box and two pillowcases were stolen.

2100 block W. Tioga St. – Complainant said seven men robbed him at the location. He said they pushed him to the ground and stole a state ID and $15 from his front pocket. Complainant said he is mentally disabled.

4300 block Wissahickon Ave. – Leaf blower stolen from a storage trailer between 5 a.m. Oct. 15 and 9 p.m. Oct. 16.

1600 block W. Erie Ave. – Complainant said a man shot him in the head before fleeing the scene in a green Isuzu jeep. Complainant was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

2800 block N. Stillman St. – A teenage boy was murdered. Police found the complainant laying face down with the gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.

2800 block N. 16th St. – Complainant said his girlfriend stabbed him the right hand after a verbal dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was arrested.

1900 block W. Somerset St. – Complainant said someone stole $1,000 from his home. Complainant said his landlord was doing some repair work inside before he came home to find the money was missing.

N. 26th St. and W. Clearfield St. – Complainant said a man assaulted him at the location. Complainant was taken to the hospital to be treated for a cut on his head.

3100 block N. Stillman St. – 2011 Mazda 3 stolen. Complainant said the car was a rental.

October 17, 2011

Unit block Wyneva St. – Two Dell computers and three swords were stolen from the property.

5400 block Wayne Ave. – Complainant said three men robbed him at gunpoint and stole his car. He said he was leaning into his car to grab some tools when the offenders approached him from behind, knocked him to the ground and robbed him. Complainant said one of the offenders took $300 and a $5,000 check from his pocket. Another took the complainant’s car.

5100 block Wayne Ave. – Laptop, $30 in change, cigarettes and $2,000 in cash were stolen from a grocery store between 12:43-1 a.m. Oct. 17.

100 block Apsley St. – Complainant said someone stole $525 from her home.

3200 block Midvale Ave. – 32-inch flat screen TV and 19-inch flatscreen TV were stolen from the property.

3900 block Henry Ave. – Craftsman miter saw, gas chainsaw, router table, hedge trimmers and a garden trimmer were stolen from the property.

1800 block W. Eerie Ave. – Touchscreen DVD/CD TV and a Pioneer stereo system were stolen from a 2001 Lincoln Town Car.

3200 block N. 16th St. – Kenwood stereo and an Alpine amplifier were stolen from a 1998 Oldsmobile.

October 18, 2011

5500 block Wissahickon Ave. – Complainant said her child’s father assaulted her. She said the offender pushed, punched and choked her before striking her in the head with a bag containing a metal breast pump. Police arrested the offender after a struggle.

1900 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Complainant said a known offender tried to strike him on his forehead with a black handgun while sitting in his car. Complainant said he has had problems with the offender in the past.

2300 block W. Indiana Ave. – Complainant said he was shot in his right thigh. Complainant was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

2800 block N. 20th St. – Complainant said two men robbed his home at gunpoint. Complainant said two strangers knocked on his door. When he opened the door, one of the offenders placed a handgun in his face and told him to “give me everything or I’m going to shoot you.” The offenders then tied up the complainant and asked him “Where da weed at?” Offenders fled with a 32-inch TV, tattoo gun, wallet, Xbox 360, computer, jewelry and $300.

3000 block N. 15th St. – Complainant said a known offender punched him in the left eye and cut his face with a piece of glass during a dispute.

3100 block N. 24th St. – Complainant said a man robbed her while she was at home. She said she heard a knock at her front door at 2 a.m. Oct. 17. When she answered the door, the offender pushed his way in and said he looking for the complainant’s ex-boyfriend to settle an outstanding debt. The offender then stole an ATM card, video-game system, eight video games, a laptop and two cell phones. He said things were even.

October 19, 2011

3600 block N. 17th St. – Complainant said she was raped by an known acquaintance.

4300 block Wayne Ave. – Police arrested a student at Steel Middle School after he threatened to shoot a fellow student while at school. Police took the offending student into custody after he showed police that he had a gun.

October 20, 2011

200 block W. Chelten Ave. – iPhone stolen from the property.

3500 block N. 18th St. – Dell laptop and an iPhone were stolen from a car between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m.

1800 block W Venango St. – HVA copper coil, HVAC ductwork and coil stop trim stolen from the property.
