April 23, 4200 block Germantown Ave. – a former barbershop employee stole $1500 from the business. The shop’s manager said the April 22 incident was caught on security camera footage. The offender used a key to enter and took the cash from a white money bag.

April 22, 2011

400 block W. Queens Lane – air mattress, DVD player, clothes, 15 pocketbooks and more were stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken between March 31 and April 21 after one of two offenders had illegally locked her out of her apartment.

5300 block Pulaski Ave. – tool bag and tools stolen a Chevrolet Astro Van sometime after 9 a.m. April 22. Complainant said someone took the items from the unlocked car after he stepped away.

1800 block W. Tioga St. – heater, window and copper stolen from property. A passerby flagged down police and told them she saw two men climbing into the basement of the location and acting suspicious. Police then saw one of the offenders climb out of the basement window. That offender was arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

2900 block N. Stillman St. – two TVs, three computers, an Xbox and 20 video games stolen from the property. Complainant said she was evicted from the location on March 29. A neighbor called the complainant April 18 to tell her she heard a noise coming from the location. When the complainant checked the property four days later, the back window was broken and the listed items were missing.

2800 block W. Lehigh Ave. – 2000 black Volkswagen stolen between 8-10:25 p.m. April 22

April 23, 2011

4900 block Keyser St. – HP computer, two fireproof safes, jewelry, tools and more were stolen from the property. Complainant said someone ransacked his home and took the items between 12-7 p.m. April 23.

4200 block Germantown Ave. – a former barbershop employee stole $1500 from the business. The shop’s manager said the April 22 incident was caught on security camera footage. The offender used a key to enter and took the cash from a white money bag.

1700 block W. Ontario St. – complainant said three men shot at him while he was walking with his cousin at the location at approximately 3:44 p.m. April 23. The complainant was shot once in the left shoulder and once in the right ankle. His cousin was shot twice in the lower left leg. Both were taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

April 24, 2011

500 block Manheim St. – 1991 Nissan Maxima stolen between 10:40 p.m. April 23 and 3 a.m. April 24. Complainant said she was in a car accident at the location and was taken to the hospital afterwards. She said the car was gone after she was released from the hospital.

Unit block of Reger St. – stereo system, radio, speakers, iPod and camera were stolen from a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis between 12-9:25 a.m. April 24.

3800 block N. Smedley St. – shoes, clothing, an Xbox console, video games, DVDs and a duffle bag were stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken sometime after 5 p.m. April 23 while she was out shopping. She said a home health care nurse, who cares for her daughter, may have let the offender into the house.

3800 block Blabon St.  – Tom-Tom GPS stolen from a 2001 Freightliner trailer between 6 p.m. April 22 and 7:30 p.m. April 24.

2900 block N. 22nd St. – complainant said an acquaintance took his cell phone and shot him. Complainant was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.

2700 block Somerset St. – cash register, cigarettes, cigars and $310 stolen from the property between 9:30 p.m. April 23 and 8:50 a.m. April 24. Complainant said someone cut the lock from the grate of his mini market. The store does have security cameras, but the tape was unavailable at the time the report was made. Several neighbors said they heard what sounded like a ladder around 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. April 23.

April 25, 2011

400 block W. Woodlawn St. – jewelry and $50 stolen from the property between 4 p.m. April 18 and 4 p.m. April 25. Complainant said she noticed her back door locks lying on the porch upon her return.

600 block W. Rittenhouse St. – $4800 stolen from the property between 12 p.m. April 24 and 12:30 a.m. April 25. Complainant said he came home to find his apartment ransacked.

1700 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Dell laptop and laptop bag stolen from a 2008 Chevy Silverado between 2:45-4:15 p.m. April 25. Complainant said someone broke into the company car through the driver side window.

1800 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – copper pipes stolen from the property’s basement. Complainant said a neighbor called him after he saw the rear door was open.

1800 block W. Tioga St. – digital watch, Playstation 2 system, DVD player, an Alto flute and more were stolen from the property. Complainant said he suspects someone entered his apartment through an unlocked bedroom window between 10:30 a.m. April 22 and 5:15 p.m. April 25.

April 26, 2011

2900 block W. Queen Lane – Dell laptop stolen from university grounds between 3 p.m. March 15 and April 8. A university employee locked the computer in an office room closet. Several people have access to the office.

5900 block Pulaski Ave. – four rim caps stolen from a 2006 Cadillac.

3700 block Pulaski Ave. – firearm stolen from the property. Complainant said he last saw the weapon at a Christmas family gathering. He said he noticed it was missing April 25.

2000 block Rowan St. – jewelry, three video game systems, two laptops, three TVs and more were stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken while she was on vacation between 6 p.m. April 22 and 10:30 p.m. April 25.

2000 block W. Venango St. – two laptops, Wii game console, two Wii games, portable hard drive and more stolen were stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were stolen between 7:50 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. April 25.

April 27, 2011

700 block W. Rittenhouse St. – backpack containing ID, credit cards, camera, watch and clothing was stolen from a 2010 Toyota Sienna. Complainant said $100 was charged to her credit card.

3700 block Wissahickon Ave. – iPod stolen from a 2011 Nissan Rogue.

1900 block W. Allegheny Ave. – TVs, laptop, designer purses and a printer stolen from the property between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 27. There were no signs of a forced entry.

3500 block N. Broad St. – two acetylene tanks, copper pipes, copper tubing and a small soldering kit stolen from the property. Complainant said someone stole the items from an open area between 3:30 p.m. April 26 and 7 a.m. April 27. There were no signs of a forced entry.

2900 block N. 22nd St. – complainant said someone robbed him at gunpoint and then got into a burgundy cargo van. Offender stole $900 at approximately 12:40 p.m. April 27.

3000 block N. Taney St. – complainant said two men approached him from behind and shot him in the buttocks. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

April 28, 2011

N. 18th St. / W. Venango St. – cell phone stolen from a 1999 Chevrolet truck.

2900 block W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said someone approached him and robbed him at gunpoint. Offender ran off with $15 and a transpass.
