2900 block N. Bonsall St. – complainant said someone stole 10 electric toy cars from his place between 3 p.m. March 13 and 7:20 p.m. March 27

March 25, 2011

3700 block Midvale Ave. – complainant said someone stole her purse while she was inside a bar at the location. The purse contained car keys, $65, a cell phone and a New Jersey driver’s license.

1900 block Bonitz St. – two men approached a delivery person and forcefully stole a package containing a Panasonic mp3 player at around 11:45 a.m. March 25. Complainant said one of the offenders pulled out a handgun; the other stole the package.

1900 block W. Somerset St. –hair salon equipment was stolen from the property. Police observed five men loading the items into a 2000 Ford. The offenders told police they were hired to clean the equipment.  When contacted by police, the complainant said the men did not have permission to be inside the salon. The men were then arrested and taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.

March 26, 2011

1400 block Pacific St. – complainant said an acquaintance forced her into his bedroom and raped her with a box cutter at her neck.  The complainant was taken to the hospital afterwards.

2800 block N. Lambert St. – microwave oven, insurance card, leather jacket, CDs and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a 2006 Hyundai Sonata.

March 27, 2011

4200 block Kelly Drive – iPod and a Swiss Army Knife stolen from a 2011 Subaru.

2900 block N. Bonsall St. – complainant said someone stole 10 electric toy cars from his place between 3 p.m. March 13 and 7:20 p.m. March 27.

2800 block W. Lehigh Ave. – complainant said someone stole $1,000 from a shelf in his bedroom between 8 p.m. March 24 and 2 a.m. March 25. He said a friend remained at the property during that window of time.  There were no signs of a forced entry.

March 28, 2011

4400 block N. 17th St. – Panasonic radio, ADT alarm system key pad, 20” LCD monitor and a Compaq computer stolen. Father of the complainant told police he was at his daughter’s house and found an unknown man in the kitchen with a knife. The offender fled the location through a kitchen window. The items were later recovered in a garbage can in an alley.

1700 block W. Tioga St. – complainant said someone stole a wheelchair from outside of the location while he was inside buying groceries.

2600 block W. Seltzer St. – 45’ cyclone fence stolen from the property between 2 p.m. Feb. 28 and 9 a.m. March 28. Complainant is doing renovations at the property. He said he observed the fence installed, but can’t prove it belongs to him.

March 29, 2011

4300 block Dobson St. – Garmin GPS stolen from a 2010 Mazda 6 between 9 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. March 29.

1500 block W. Tioga St. – Kel-Tec gun stolen from the property between 10 p.m. March 13 and 12 p.m. March 22. Complainant said he took the gun over to his son’s house to be cleaned. When he returned, his son told him he could not find the gun. The son said he was in Florida with his wife during the time of the incident and that his daughter was the only one in the house at the time.

3200 block N. 20th St. – complainant said one of her male friends climbed on top of her, raped her and left the house.

2900 block N. Taney St. – Sony car radio, Garmin GPS, car title and $475 stolen from a 1999 Buick Regal.

March 30, 2011

1500 block W. Tioga St. – 1998 Cadillac Deville stolen between 1:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. March 29. Complainant said she parked at the location and went to school on a shuttle bus. When she returned, the car was gone.

4000 block N. 17th St. – At 2 a.m. March 30, police responded to a call and found a man on the street with a gunshot wound to the face. The man was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

2900 block N. Broad St. – Garmin GPS and an Apple iPod stolen from a car between 6:40-9 p.m. March 29.

March 31, 2011

5500 block Wissahickon Ave. – 1999 Jeep Cherokee stolen between 9:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. March 31.

1700 block W. Venango St. – 1999 Toyota Corolla stolen, but recovered before a police report was filed.  Complainant said he was missing his car keys and later spotted an offender driving his car by his store. The car was later recovered on the 3500 block of Smedley St.

2700 block N. 22nd St. – two bracelets, a ring and a watch stolen from the property between 2:45 a.m. March 21 and 3 p.m. March 22.

2600 block W. Silver St. – 40” Apex TV stolen from the property. Complainant said he left his front door unlocked while he was at the store. When he returned about five minutes later, the item was gone.

1600 block W. Allegheny Ave. – GPS and stereo stolen from a car between 1:30- 3p.m. March 31.
