3 teens killed, 1 other wounded in Philadelphia

    Philadelphia police say they have arrested a north Philadelphia man in connection with an ambush shooting that left three teens dead and another injured.

    Authorities say the teens were in a car when they were shot Tuesday night in the city’s Juniata section.

    Homicide Capt. James Clark says investigators believe it started as a conflict between two groups of young people.

    The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that police have arrested 30-year-old Axel Barreto in a Bensalem motel.

    The newspaper says a third teen, 14-year-old Dante Lugo, died Wednesday night at a hospital. Sixteen-year-old Javier Orlandi and 14-year-old Joshua Soto were pronounced dead shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday. The 16-year-old driver was in stable condition.

    Police say seven teens were in the car when gunfire erupted.
