3 new Pennsylvania House members take oath of office

Three new members have taken the oath of office as members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

The three freshmen sworn in on Tuesday were elected during special elections last month in Philadelphia and Westmoreland County, east of Pittsburgh.

Joining the House are Democratic Reps. Tonyelle Cook-Artis and Lynwood Savage from Philadelphia and Republican Rep. Eric Nelson from Westmoreland.

The House remains firmly in Republican hands, 119 to 84.
