While the Pennsylvania House was preparing to vote on the state’s budget, Gov. Tom Corbett toured a factory in Montgomery County.

Corbett visited to Lafayette Hill to tour the National Label Company, an old family-owned firm. Corbett walked through rooms full of spinning, clicking machines, and rolls of labels for brands such as Tylenol and Energizer.

Speaking to a room full of workers after the tour, Corbett said he’s working to bring back jobs, but a few tough years are still ahead.

He said there are no easy cuts, and he knows a lot of people are complaining about the budget.

“I made significant proposals in reduction to the education side, keeping the Department of Welfare side up,” he said. “The House has a different viewpoint. We’re going to see what the Senate has to say. We will reach a mutually agreed upon number.”

Corbett said he is determined to get the budget done on time.
