24 people to rappel down Harrisburg hotel to raise money

It’s not quite Spider Man, but the efforts of 24 people will be just as important as a group plans to rappel down a Harrisburg hotel to raise money for a non-profit organization.

According to the Patriot News, the group will rappel down the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel in September to raise money for Gaudenzia, a non-profit organization that provides addiction treatment and recovery services.

According to the report, anyone interested can register online to be part of the event, which is organized by a group based out of Canada called “Over the Edge.”  Participants must raise at least $1,000 to rappel.

Over the Edge is certified by both the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, according to the story.
