Philadelphia’s Christmas Village moves to Love Park

Philadelphia’s outdoor Christmas Village is back, but this year it’s in a new location.

The Christmas Village is now in Love Park, with a tree in the center and shops all around. Village manager Tomas Bauer says they have a gift for just about everyone.

“German vendors selling German Christmas ornaments, honey products, glass ornaments, and all other kinds of gifts and presents you want to bring to your family,” said Bauer.

Vendor Phyllis Grode says she spends three months in Europe shopping for her wares, and keeps expanding.

“The first year I started in a single booth and our booth has always been purple, the color of lavender you find in the South of France,  the second year it was a double and this year it’s a triple, because we love to shop and bring things here that are exceptional and high quality,” said Grode.

The shops will remain open through Christmas Eve.
