New Castle County

031016whiteClassic Albums Live: The White Album, March 12th

The Classic Albums band returns to The Grand for more of their distinctive restorations of significant rock recording history. In this concert, the band will studiously perform the Beatles’ entire two-disk White Album from beginning to end, accurately capturing the original experience note-for-note. The tracks will include “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” and “Helter Skelter.” The Orlando Sentinel exclaims that Classic Albums Live is “always a great show.” The Grand Opera House, Wilmington.

The cold-hearted Snow Queen kidnaps children in search of her lost son. When she abducts Kai, his younger sister Gerda vows to bring him home. When Gerda reaches the Snow Queen’s palace and finds Kai cold-hearted, can her love and devotion warm his heart, and together can they find a way to transform the cold Snow Queen into the loving mother she once was? Join Wesley College in welcoming Dr. Matthew Hoch, a noted author and Associate Professor of Voice and Coordinator of Voice Studies at Auburn University, for a performance and lecture. Dr. Hoch maintains a multi-faceted musical career as a professional baritone, teacher of singing, choral conductor, lecturer, and scholar. Wesley College, Wesley Chapel, Dover.

Hear from both sides of the pottery studio—from the artist who creates at the wheel to the artist who uses clay for handbuilding. A discussion on the history of the pottery studio and how processes have evolved will be led by Wes Stack and Kate Lear, as well as demonstrations on both techniques. The cost per person is $35. A discounted cost for two people is $60. Advance reservations required. Rehoboth Art League.
