2 dead in 30 car pileup on I-95

    Two people have died after an accident that involved more than 30 vehicles on an icy stretch of I-95 in Bristol Township early this morning.

    The accident happened shortly after 3 a.m. between Street Road and Route 413.

    According to WPVI-TV, one driver lost control and left the interstate, landing on the Pennsylvania Turnpike below.

    Investigators tell WPVI-TV the accidents started just past Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia, with crashes occurring in both lanes of I-95 near exit 40.

    Two people were killed and several others were injured in the pileup.

    The interstate was closed for more than two hours but has since reopened to traffic.
