2 dead, 1 injured in crashes overnight

Separate overnight incidents left two men dead and one injured on major roadways in New Jersey and Delaware.

While driving on I-295 in Gloucester County, New Jersey, 23-year-old Sean McPeake reportedly lost control of his car and crashed into a guardrail late Friday night. NBC10 reports that McPeake was thrown from the car as his vehicle spun around. He died at the scene.

The driver of a taxi was killed when he collided with the rear of a dump truck on I-95 in Delaware just after 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, reports Delawareonline.com. The 60-year-old driver was trapped in the wreckage and was extracted by firefighters. He was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was reportedly pronounced dead, though ABC6 reports he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 46-year-old passenger riding in the rear of the car was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was treated for injuries and admitted in stable condition, reports Delawareonline.com. Again, there are conflicting reports: ABC6 reports he was listed in serious condition.
