10th Street bike lanes will be finished after PennDOT project

Bike commuters can now add 13th Street to their routes, as the designated bike lane is ready for use. But progress has slowed on the lane marked for 10th Street as PennDOT works to finish a project of its own.

Deputy Mayor for Transportation and Utilities Rina Cutler told KYW PennDOT’s project north of Market Street will delay the painting of the rest of 10th Street lane until the fall. Once PennDOT completes paving, the bike lanes will go in.

The north-south routes on 13th and 10th are part of a six-month trial meant to complement the east-west routes on Spruce and Pine.
