1 dead in head-on crash in Monroe Township

    A head on crash early this morning on the Black Horse Pike in Monroe Township, New Jersey trapped three victims in two vehicles, killing one of them.

    WPVI-TV reports the crash happened around 4:00 a.m. this morning on the Black Horse Pike between Corkery Lane and Whitehall Road.

    According to the report, firefighters worked for 30 minutes to free the trapped victims. One victim was flown to Cooper University Hospital while two others were taken to Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township, where one of the victims was pronounced dead.

    WPVI-TV says the northbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike were expected to remain closed through most of the morning while police investigated the crash.
