Philadelphia’s 99th Mayor Jim Kenney will be inaugurated into office Monday January 4th.

In advance of that transition, Newsworks Tonight is looking at the legacy of outgoing Mayor Michael Nutter.  In this installment of a seven-part series, we consider the city’s efforts to sustain sustainability.

It was a promise Mayor Nutter touted frequently: making Philadelphia ‘the greenest city in America.’ WHYY’s Dave Heller examines the Mayor’s record with Katie Bartolotta, Philadelphia Outreach Coordinator for PennFuture, and Mark Alan Hughes, Professor of Practice at PennDesign.
