An update on I-495

Since June, construction crews have been working around the clock to repair the I-495 bridge. The bridge suffered foundation damage that runs as deep as 400 feet, with the likely cause being the weight of nearby dirt piles. In this week’s First Look, we’ll give you a closer view of the damage, examine challenges associated with the project and consider the overall impact that the bridge’s closure has had on the city of Wilmington.

Formula of nursing

A recent study estimates that if babies born in the US were breastfed as recommended, the country could save $12 billion in health care costs in one year. Despite the proven health benefits, Delaware’s breastfeeding numbers have dipped. However, state health leaders aren’t worried, at least not yet.
