First Experience: Howard Pyle’s murals
Howard Pyle is best known for his illustration work, but toward the end of his career he decided to branch out and paint murals. His first mural project was located in his home, where they were later damaged in a fire. These murals have languished in storage for years until they were recently restored, and are now on display together at the Delaware Art Museum. It’s a good place to start our program dedicated to Delaware’s arts and culture.
First Experience: Milford Mural
In a couple weeks it will be time for the annual Bud and Bug Festival. It’ll take along the Misspillion River which cuts right through Milford. Let’s meet the artists behind it.
