Yuengling beer will expand to Ohio

Pennsylvania-based Yuengling beer has announced plans to expand into Ohio.

D.G. Yuengling & Son of Pottsville is the nation’s oldest brewer, and already sells along the East Coast and southeastern states.

According to an Ohio Breweries blog post, Yuengling’s business development manager Pat Noone says the expansion into Ohio has to wait until the brewer could serve the state, which Noone says is “one of largest states in the country and in terms of beer consumption.”

Ohioans could be drinking lager as soon as October.
