WMAN fundraiser serves up good company with good food

West Mt. Airy Neighbors (WMAN) held its seventh annual “Eat Your Heart Out!” fundraiser over the weekend.

The always well-attended event gives residents the chance to enjoy each other’s company as they feast on food prepared by local chefs.

This year, 15 neighbors opened up their homes for the Saturday night fundraiser, each offering their guests a different dinner theme, including Hawaain, Indian, Asian, Moroccan and Soul Food.

Each host family selects a chef and a meal and pays for the food out of pocket. The chefs donate their time and the neighbors attending the dinner make a pre-paid donation to WMAN.

The evening ended with an after-party at the home of Mitch Bormack and Allyson Katzman-Bormack. Mitch performed at the piano with friends as guests sang along.
