Happening now: Wing Bowl
It’s here, and it’s happening now: Wing Bowl.
The annual competitive eating contest officially gets started at 6 a.m. – the doors have opened, though, and already half-drunk revelers are pouring in.
In total, there will be two dozen contestants and thousands of spectators. And, of course, the Wingettes.
Event sponsor WIP-AM has announced that hot-dog eating sensation Takeru Kobayashi of Japan will attend — but he won’t compete in the wing category. Instead, he’ll see how fast he can down a cheesesteak. The unofficial record is 48 seconds.
