Wilmington murder victim is 25th killed in 2015

A 36-year-old man died Monday evening after being shot in the head in Wilmington.
Police found the victim in the area of E. 23rd Street around 4:30 Monday afternoon. He was treated on the scene by New Castle Count Paramedics. Police have identified the victim as Antoine Perkins of Wilmington. He was taken to Christiana Hospital where he died.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages.
There have been 126 shootings in Wilmington in 2015 and 25 shooting deaths.
