William Penn Foundation announces funding for 37 Philadelphia-area projects

The William Penn Foundation today announced grant funding for 37 Philadelphia-area projects that will benefit organizations oriented around family, environment and arts-related goals.

The projects will share $16 million in funding. ArtPlace Joint Funding Collaborative will receive the biggest chunk — a $2 million grant will help the president and board chair re-grant the money to arts organizations and community placemaking projects.
Other organizations getting grants include the Raices Culturales Latinoamericanas, Philadelphia Schools Project, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation and the Delaware River Basin Commission.

WHYY receives funding from the William Penn Foundation.
