Lanes to be closed on Walt Whitman Bridge

Various lanes will be closed throughout this coming week on the Walt Whitman Bridge connecting Philadelphia with Gloucester City, N.J.

Officials say: get used to it.

The closures are part of a major redecking project. Various lanes will be closed throughout this week, though all lanes are to be open in the busier direction at the height of the morning and afternoon rush hours. Starting Aug. 26, the bridge’s far-right eastbound lane is scheduled to close for about five months.
