What Delaware’s senate candidates are saying today

The beginning of the campaign has both candidates talking about tone and issues

Chris Coons started his day in Kent County and made his way to Libby’s in Wilmington for lunch.  Christine O’Donnell was up early this morning on the network morning shows, took phone calls from supporters, well wishers, and those who wanted to give her money for her campaign.  She ended her day in Wilmington.

That’s how the final weeks of the campaign for the U.S. Senate from Delaware began Wednesday.  Coons went to Libby’s where many a politician has gone to meet potential voters.  He got his first taste of rock star status as a crush of reporters followed him around to hear the democratic candidate say he wanted to stick to the issues and why he was the better candidate.
