Today, The Wadsworth Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia will take part in the Philadelphia Science Festival from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The program will feature the Philadelphia Zoo from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., students will be get the chance to experiment and construct toys that demonstrate basic Physics concepts for Everyday Physics.

From 5:30-6:30 p.m., attendees will learn about lead poisoning prevention from The Philadelphia Department of Public Health staffwill present information about how to keep a house safe from lead and protect children from lead poisoning. Atendees will also watch a video of “Lead Away!” that features Sesame Street characters.

From 6:30-7 p.m.,The Franklin Institute will challenge students’ ideas about hot and cold by making balloons shrink, bubbles freeze and shattering rubber balls.
