War through Wyeth’s eyes

It’s been 150 years since the civil war nearly tore America apart.  In 1911 N.C. Wyeth was commissioned to work on illustrations and book covers to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the war. At the time it offered a unique perspective on the soldiers and civilians with the war still fresh in everyone’s minds. Our First Experience this week goes to the Brandywine River Museum for a 21st century view of the exhibit.
