Walk for Peace funds art for families of young crime victims

People will walk through part of Center City this afternoon to help remember young crime victims and fund a unique art partnership.

Proceeds from today’s Walk for Peace: Walk for Lost Dreams will help frame portraits that Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts painted of young crime victims. Those portraits will be given to the victims’ families.

The walk will depart from Broad and Cherry streets at 2:15 p.m., go west on Cherry Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, walk around Logan Circle and return to PAFA.
