SEPTA silences strange “doors closing” message

    Turn out we were right. The subway’s voice has changed, and we don’t mean it’s gone through public-transit puberty. The “Door Closing” announcement, which seemed to carry a mysterious accent, has left the station for good.

     

    City Paper’s Clog reports that SEPTA made the switch as part of a larger, systemwide communications change.
