Video: Fiery wreck on southbound I-95 during Tuesday’s evening rush hour

A crash that looked like something out of an action movie tied up traffic during the afternoon rush hour Tuesday as three Good Samaritans tried to pull a driver from his fiery truck.

Steve Kwansik, WHYY’s “On Canvas” producer, was on northbound 95 when he shot the above video as his cab drove by the scene.
Thick black smoke and flames engulfed a truck in the southbound lanes near the Philadelphia stadiums.

Motorists can been seen running toward the truck to assist the driver as others try to escape the moving cloud of smoke.
