Valentine’s Day has personal implications in the workplace

    Did you boss wish you a happy Valentine’s Day this morning? Careful; it could mean the boss has the hots for you. Philadelphia lawyers are cautioning employers (and employees) to keep their Valentine’s well-wishes out of the workplace.

    As the Philadelphia Business Journal reports, wishing your subordinate a happy Valentine’s Day in the office could lead to an office romance or tryst if signals get mixed. Better to not acknowledge the day at all.

    Next month’s advice: saying “Happy St. Patty’s Day” might make your employees think you want to get them drunk.
