Wilmington Police now have a composite sketch of the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Kosciuszko Park Thursday night.

Police say the victim was found in the park shortly after 10:15 p.m. She told police she was walking in the 500 block of South Franklin Street, when the suspect, armed with a handgun, came up from behind.

The suspect is described as a black male, mid 20’s, 5’09” to 5’11” tall, thin build (approximately 170 lbs.), medium brown complexion, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

Anyone with information concerning the suspect’s identity is asked to call Det. Stoddard at 302-576-3641.

Considered armed and dangerous, police are urging the public not to approach the man if you see him, but to call 911 immediately.
