After periods of rain overnight and this morning, the sun is peeking out here in South Seaside Park, where it is 75.7 °F with a light southwest wind.

The weather today can be summed up in one word: unsettled. Mostly cloudy and humid all day, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low 80s, with variable south-southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph. Tonight will be similar, with overnight lows falling to the low 70s near the coast, mid-upper 60s elsewhere.

Friday will be similar, with perhaps more precipitation. A cold front will move through during the overnight hours and high pressure will begin to build in, delivering clearing conditions Saturday morning and a fantastic Saturday afternoon. Highs in the mid-upper 80s. Sunday still appears to be the pick of the weekend, with mostly sunny conditions and highs in the low to mid 80s.

BOAT/BEACH: Mostly cloudy all day, which means that peeks of sunshine are possible. The breakers are around 2 feet, and ocean swells are running around 4 feet. The ocean temperature is in the low to mid 70s, and there is a low risk of rip currents, but always swim near a lifeguard. Beware of the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms. Low tide at the Seaside Heights oceanfront is at 3:09 p.m.
