Two South Jersey health systems announce plans to merge

    Pending federal and state approval, two South Jersey-based health systems will merge to form a medical alliance.

    South Jersey Health System Inc., of Vineland, and Woodbury’s Underwood-Memorial Health System Inc. will bring their resources together, the Inquirer reports.

    The two health systems have more than 650 beds combined and a medical staff of about 1,000.
