Two men charged with burglarizing Toms River police chief’s house

    Police have charged two men with burglarizing a series of homes in Toms River, N.J. One belongs to the town’s chief of police.

    The Associated Press reports Justin Lovgren and Jesse Hamby are charged with burglary for taking jewelry, cash and prescription medications from the homes.

    The 25- and 19-year-old Beachwood residents were seen on surveillance cameras Police Chief Michael Mastronardy installed in his home two weeks ago in response to a rash of burglaries in the area.
