Two American hikers detained in Iran will marry in May

Two of the U.S. hikers recently freed from captivity in Iran will marry next spring.

Sarah Shourd and Shane Bauer will marry May 5, the Associated Press reports, eight months after their ordeal in Iran ended. They were arrested by Iranian soldiers in July 2009 with their friend, Elkins Park native Josh Fattal. Shourd was held for 14 months, and Bauer and Fattal were released after more than two years.

Shourd and Bauer will marry in San Francisco.
