Trombone quartet performs for holiday shoppers at Liberty Place

A trombone quartet composed of brass players from the Philadelphia Orchestra kicked off “Power Week” by serenading shoppers and lunch goers at the Shops at Liberty Place on Monday afternoon. The concert was held in front of the Christmas tree in the Rotunda and halted many bustling shoppers to listen to the holiday arrangements.

PECO and the Orchestra offer the December “Power Week” promotion yearly that gives music lovers a week to purchase tickets to select concerts for only $10.

Discount tickets are available for performances like “Glorious Sound of Christmas,” at the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall, “Yannick and Bruckner” in January, Beethoven’s “Eroica” in March, and “Bach and His Brandenburgs” coming in April.
