Train strikes tractor-trailer in eastern Pa.

    Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident involving a train and a tractor trailer in northeastern Pennsylvania.

    Berks County emergency management officials said the accident was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday near a railroad crossing in Topton, Berks County.

    WFMZ-TV said the truck was split in two by the Norfolk Southern train, with parts on both sides of the track and the train sitting in the middle.

    Officials said the truck driver has suffered injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

    Investigators are trying to determine how the crash happened.
