Train station project making progress in Coatesville

A project that will make the Coatesville train station the first in Chester County to be renovated is making progress.

The station is one of several stations undergoing renovations in the area.

The Daily Local News reports the Coatesville project is officially ahead of other projects in Parkesburg and Downingtown just a few months into construction. The updates came from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The Daily Local News says the project includes a pedestrian crossover and street-scaping, in addition to renovations to the existing station.

Transportation officials have scheduled an information meeting for residents to learn more about the Coatesville project on November 10 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
